Both William and Mary were widowed. Mary Sackkett was probably a friend of the bride and Edward Wood was probably related to the groom but the relationship is not known. Who else was present is not known. As William is shown as being from the parish of Badow (Baddow) in Essex how they came to meet is a matter od some speculation.
