Although the baptism was recorded in the Baptismal Register for St Michael's it may have taken place in the Long Room of Chenies Manor House which was used for services during major repairs and amendments to the church which began in 1829 and involved the closure of the church for part of the 1830s. The church was reopened for public worship on 23 June 1836.

Her death certificate says that she has suffered from concussion for 2½ days which presumably means that she was unconscious from the time of the incident. Whether it was from a fall or an accident is not known. She was away from home at the time. Her death was registered by her son Henry who lived in Middlesex so presumably he had been informed of Gertrude's accident by his father (Gertrude's husband John).
