The estate was worth £1,402 10s. Albert died intestate his estate should have been divided equally between his children would mean they had about £140 each. However, as he appeared to be living with his daughter Mary at the time of his death she was probably the principal beneficiary.

Census for household:
31 Mar 1901 (age 25)
Plymouth, Devon12
Address: 9 Clayton Place
The household consisted of Albert, his wife Annie and their children Nellie (age 2) and Albert (age 4 months)
Census for household:
2 Apr 1911 (age 36)
Devonport, Devon13
Address: Houseboat 'Mayflower', Richmond Walk
The family consisted of Albert, his wife Annie and their 6 children Nellie, Edward, Russell, Lavinia, Roy & Kathleen. Although 'Mayflower' is a houseboat (see Marriage Certificate for Mary Blagdon) and presumably permanently moored at Richmond Walk the return is for a vessel (Mayflower) and is countersigned by a Customs Officer. There is no indication of the size although it must have been fairly large to accommodate all the children. It would appear from the places where the children were born that they had lived there since 1893. In the return everyone was originally designated Crew but subsequently the entries for Albert and Annie where amended to Head & Wife. The return shows that one of their children had died.
