Exactly where the wedding took place is not known, however the marriage was registered in the Holborn district and there is a photograph which shows the wedding party in the garden of a London square surrounded by large Georgian or early Victorian terraced houses. Whether the bride's parents lived in one of the houses is not known but presumably the reception was held there. From the photograph is known that the following attended the wedding; William Sayer's father, Edith and Winifed Rosam who were the bride's cousins and bridesmaids, the bride's brother Chris Bhend who was best man, and the bride's parents Christian and Ada Bhend. There are also two young bridesmaids and a pageboy in the photograph whose names are not known. As everyone is very fashionably dressed it is certain that a number of other people attended the wedding. Interestingly Chris and Winifred are standing next to each other; they were in love and wanted to marry but were not allowed to by their parents as they were cousins.
