It is known from the 1911 Census that Walter and Maud Wakefield had two children and that one had died. As their marriage was registered in the first quarter of 1906 FreeBMD was searched for possible births between 1906 and 1910 in Bristol where they married and East Stonehouse where they were at the time of the 1901 Census.

A search of deaths produced two possibilities - Lily Maud and an entry for an Olive Kathleen Wakefield who died age 0 in the same quarter also in Bristol. Without further information such as a death certificate Lily Maud was thought to be the more likely possibility because her Christian names included Maud (after her mother). As both her birth and death are registered in the 4th quarter of 1906 she probably died within a few weeks of her birth.
