His birth registration give the year and his nephew (by marriage) Jack Richmond (aka Jack Ward) remembers that it was on St Patrick's day (17 March). Address: Upper St Leonards, Sussex
He was baptised some 3 years after his birth which is slightly unusual as children were normally baptised a few week after birth. His older brother Albert Henry Gerald Roy who was 6 years older than Walter was baptised on the same occasion. His parents would also have been present but who else is not known.

He and his brother Albert were living with their uncle and aunt Leonard and Edith Morgan. Leonard and Edith's son Earnest was also living in the same household. The total of five people had only two rooms. The census return was completed by Edith which indicates that Leonard who was head of the household and was working as a decorator was either illiterate or had difficulty in writing. Why Walter and Albert were not living with their parents is not known.

Death:
10 Jan 1967 (age 65)
Address: 21b Montpelier Crescent, Brighton
Probate:
13 Mar 1967

The estate was worth £626. Administration indicates that Patrick did not leave a will and judging from the surname the administrator was probably related to the deceased. How the estate was distributed is unknown but as Patrick was unmarried and both his parents were dead it may have gone to the administrator.
