Baptism
The baptismal records for Thomas could not be found so his ancestors could not be determined.
There is no certainty that Thomas Dowell and and Sarah Wamsley are the parents of Thomas Dowell (99) who was born in 1787. However, it is known from Census returns that Thomas (jnr) was born in Warwick and his Death Certificate indicates that he was born in 1787. A search for his baptismal record in Warwick was fruitless, but a register entry for the marriage of Thomas (snr) and Sarah in 1786 was found. Given the facts that their marriage was a year before Thomas (jnr's) birth, it was in Warwick and the Christian names of father and son are the same it is reasonable to suppose that Thomas and Sarah were Thomas' parents.
