The relationship of the first witness John Jenkins to the couple is not known. The second witness W West also witnessed some of the other, but not all, weddings so it is assumed that he was a Churchwarden or the clerk. This assumption is supported by the fact that the Banns Register has been annotated with an 'M' (indicating that the couple had married) in J West's handwriting. Who else was at the service is not known but their parents and family may have been there.
