  • Neil (the baby's father) phoned about 8 o'clock on the the evening of 21 Oct 2007 to say that Bec (the baby's mother) had delivered a baby girl at ten to seven that evening. The delivery was very quick (the midwife didn't believe the baby was coming!) after the second induction cycle. The baby weighed 6lbs 10oz and was to be called Eva Kitty. Both Bec and Eva were doing well. The birth was induced because Bec was suffering from cholestasis which is a reduction or stoppage of the bile flow. In Bec's case this was due to hormonal changes during pregnancy. She has suffered from the same problem in the latter stages of Jamie's pregnancy and was so carefully monitored.
