Although the Rev. Antrobus signed the Certificate he obviously did not write it out. The witnesses were Joseph Gudgin and Eliza Witcher. It is assumed from the surname that George was related to the groom although the relationship is unknown. As the groom's father was Parker Dunkley he was probably a brother. The other witness was probably a friend of the bride. Interestingly Emma's address is not given - only the parish in which the banns were called which is shown as Paulespury, Northants. Paulespury is a small village near Towcester so it is possible that everyone in the village knew everyone else so a further amplification of the address was not required. Apart from the witnesses who attended the service is not known. The Groom's parents may have been there but it is doubtful whether the Bride's family would have travelled from Paulespury.
