Note on Marriage to John Davies

The 1911 Census indicates that they had been married for 42 years during which they had had 9 children of whom only two had survived. It does not indicate where the children died in their infancy or when they older. Although infant mortality and death at a young age was not uncommon this is unusually high number and may indicate a high level of deprivation in this remote branch of Pat Ward's ancestors.7
